Over priced Barking dog in room next door kept family awake for hours--staff made aware and did little to nothing
The beds were extra comfortable and the staff was very helpful when we were mistakenly put into a king room when I reserved 2 queen beds.
My only complaint is the shower wasn't very strong.
Newly renovated. Mostly new stuff in bathroom. Excellent mattress.
New door to room would not catch, nor deadbolt latch. Only slide was working. Maintenance provided a door stop. Also, fire door to stairwell did not close completely via automatic closing mechanism.
Ridiculous training re security. My key didn't work. I got a new key from the front desk person who had never seen me simply by asking for a new key. Also the key system itself is problematic with no clear mapping between room numbers and keys. For room 319 the procedure is to enter room key 313!!!
Tasty breakfast and helpful staff during breakfast. Comfortable wide bed, although booking was for 2 queen beds not one bed. Pretty quiet room after we turned the AC off.
We couldn't find any information about the breakfast anywhere in 2 rooms we booked. The desk personnel hadn't provided any information about services at check in. Phones were broken (one room had no wire at all and the other had bad connection- we tried to call the desk for info but they couldn't hear us). There also were broken hooks in the bathroom. Would have appreciated warning signs about dogs in the hotel, coming out/into elevators for example. Unexpected big dog suddenly appearing in front of you may scare even an adult, not to speak about the kid, even if they all were on leash and seemed to be friendly. The last, but not least, we mentioned in our booking that the room was meant for the newlyweds, expecting at least some little special touch in the room but found a standard room with broken equipment and a parking lot view.
Property was undergoing renovation and a brand change.
Property was undergoing a brand change and renovation, so parking was a challenge. There were lots of containers and construction workers in most of the spaces. Once renovation is complete, this will be a great place to stay in Charlottesville.
Housekeeping sloppy and took coffee pot from room and did not leave enough towels for the 3 of us.
The beds were clean and comfortable.
The TV didn't work, the instructions in the room were out of date and there was old food in the fridge. In the breakfast room, the toaster was out of order and the trash was overflowing. All of this seems to be standard because the staff responds to almost everything with shrugs.
Perfect beds, clean rooms
Still in renovation so some areas are not as cleaned up yet.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room appeared to be under repair, with a plastic cup in the door hole in place of the door handles. The carpet had what looked like plaster pieces on it when we got to the room. The elevator appeared quite dilapidated and made grinding and loud chunking noises, the laundry room was filled with repair supplies and junk, the ice maker in the hall had a panel lying on the ground next to it with the compressor visible, the door keys worked intermittently (the people in the room next door also had this problem such that at 6am, the began pounding on their door to be let back in- of course this woke us up. The stairway on our evening of arrival smelled like someone had defecated in it, which must clearly have been the case as the next morning it smelled like disinfectant.
The bathroom was disgusting and it was not worth it at all what I paid
Room was nice
Hotel looked to be in state of renovation
This hotel was dirty and disgusting. There was a red stain in the floor.... I wasn't sure if it was blood or juice (and the floor was wet where it was cleaned). The bath mat was dirty, there was a hair on the shower wall, and parking lot has trash and popcorn littering it.
